Default Engine swap questions

Hi all i have got a 03 gx bugeye and i have also got a 99 classic turbo i am just wondering if the engine from the 99 will fit the bugeye and what will i need to change as the bugeye has no engine cheers All

It can be done but it'd be more than a bit of a pain in the ****. You'd have to get hold of a load of newage WRX bits - including the inlet manifold, ECU, probably loom and a load more, or transplant large parts of the 99MY car's underbonnet hardware, ECU, instrument panel, loom and more in.

You'd also have to insure the GX as a modified car. Would probably work out cheaper to buy and insure a WRX.

the 99 is a turbo so what exactually do you think i would need to change would have all engine bits from the gx cheers

can i just change the engine its self ie block and heads then use all the gx equipment inlet exhaust alternater etc then change to turbo at a later date cheers Alex
