Default help - car fcked

took it to crail today, 1st blast up the strip pulled well upot to 3rd gear, then wouldnt rev over 3000, no boost, cell on, stuttered banged and coighed its way home,

wont idle, running on 2 maybe 3 cylinders

oil pressuse, from gauge seems ok

funny thing tho my apexi power fc display, wouldnt move from the origional apexi image(home page) if you can call it that, all day

usualyy start the car, get the image, then it goes striaght into the dispaly settings ive put in - ive not touched it or changed anything for 2 months-since it had been mapped. but after my run i tried to play with the buttons and couldnt get any response, disconnected the battery and it came back, but still running like a bag of shoite - with lots of smoke

can someone polease tell me EXACTLY whats wrong with it - thankyou

If your cell is on it would be an idea to find out what fault code its showing and that will help the folk on here point you in the right direction.

Having no experience of a Apexi FC is it possible for you to go back to standard ECU to see if the Apexi FC or AVCR is F'ed.

dont have a standar ecu anymore mate, but maybe could get one donated

im going to strip plugs, coils out tomorow, thinking possibly maf may be fcked

altho the apexi thing kinda worried me a bit - dont know why it would do this

You won't reset/lose anything on the PFC after disconnecting the batt - its map, etc. is fixed.

As above, you really need to quickly swap out the PFC for an OEM ECU that's correct for your MY/variant. That way, if it works fine, then something's gone horribly with the PFC and/or AVCR.

Even if the car runs on the OEM ECU, I'd still get it recovered though, as you don't wanna drive on the OEM ECU with the mods you have fitted....

i got it recovered just bloody home

i couldnt have driven it, was running on like 2 cylinders and was emitting a lot of smoke, which the traffics werent too pleased about lol

even when running ****e the cell wasnt on.

was running a touch better tonight , would idle just- not as bad missing when i drove it out onto my mates recovery truck.

the apexi is less than 3 months old so hope the ecu is ok, im checking all of the above tomorow,,

hopefully cell will flash up somethin,i think the maf is fcked

will report back

The CEL light for fault codes only works for the OEM JECS ECU. The Apexi is a totally different software that doesn't employ the CEL as a fault-finding indicator.

The only use for the CEL with the PFC is if it was set-up by the mapper to indicate transient knock, IDC and Airflow warnings....
