Default brake problem

hello i have a 1998 turbo 2000 when i brake at slow or speed under braking the brake pedal moves up and down under my foot i have put new disks and pads on front thought that this was the problem but appears not took car out tonight still doing the same car stops fine but its not right any ideas thanks

it could be the ABS playing up

Remove the fuse if solves the problem your abs is at fault.

hello mate if i remove fuse will this just stop abs from working so brakes should work as normal then i will get the abs looked at thanks for your info dont wont to bend it up cheers

As you have fitted new discs did you clean the wheel hub. I am not being cheeky. You are more likely to feel a disc not seated correctly at low speed than high speed.

hello mate this brake problem was there before i changed disks i cleaned all of it and fitted new parts hoping that this was the problem but its not now im not drivin it until i can do something about it im going to take abs fuse out in morning and try it again to see if that will stop the pedal going up and down under braking thanks for your help

Removing the fuse will be fine, most do it in the snow as the abs is ****e.

hello removed fuse and brakes are as they should be so i am going to dig into abs system to see what i can find thanks for your help

it will probably be one of the sensors i would check the front one's first, the sensors are on the inside of each hub and can be a bit of a job to remove on uk cars.
