what about you main bearings and is this using you own crank and are they using apr head bolts, new oil pump wate pump and so on you really need to now these things and what they will say this block will take if i was you i would go speak to alan at engine tuner triton motorsports and subrau 4 you as they are all worth chating to as you should be able to have a enigne which can take up to 400 bhp for that sort of dollar or be able to drop a 2.5 new short motor in for that

I'd give David @API Impreza a ring if I was you and see what they can do for you.

Not a bad price that just don't be caught like so many others have where £3900 ends up being lots more.

Happened to me, was given a quote for £7K that ended up being nearly £9K and even then we got Eagle rods and CP pistons instead of the Omega's and Carillo's we agreed on prior to the build.

The question is a bit ambiguos.

What block are you using? you could forge a build for 2k if you wanted.

for a 2.1 stroker Engine Tuner’s option is £2350inc VAT on a semi block.

All depends what you’re long term goals are, what block you use for the build as it may need to be rear thrust converted etc, supporting mods depending what power you spec the build at, size of head bolts the list goes on and on.

Just be sire to get everything with an agreed price in writting via email or similar.

Also, i can tell you i paid a alot more than 4k for my build but it was still classed as a 'good deal'.

depends on spec.

was going to use original sti 99 ej20 block how mcuh would a fully built bottom end cost so it would just be a case of taking out the old block and bolting in the new one is this even an option
