Default MAF ADVISE PLEASE!

Hi I am quite new with Subaru's so needed some help.
I have been advised to get a new MAF for MY00 UK WRX.

Car has an EJ257 engine with loads of mods.
Was wondering if all MAF's are the same or would I need an uprated one or
something different as the car is not standard...

Please advise further.

Thanks

Neel

Get it to a garage who has the select monitor so it can be read for a more accurate cause of the problem, car cuts out sometimes so replace the maf is not a good way to start solving the problem, and not good advice, get it checked properly as maf failure WILL bring up the cel.

Power Engineeering are in Middlesex. Don't know what their rep is like on Scoobs though (they morphed into the Scoob scene after being Ford tuners in the 90s)...

you can check the maf on the commander.. under monitor select the "airflow" parameter..

with ignition on and engine off it should be between 1000 and 1060mv.. if it is higher then the maf needs replacing..

If that is okay then I can check all is okay with the map or if anything else at issue..
lambda sensor for example, or stepper motor. I presume you bought the car already done?

Sorry magneel, I overlooked that you had a PFC/Commander - I would have advised checking the Commander too, etc.

But sharp Simon to the rescue..... as always. "Simon says..."
