Question Oil Temperature and Pressure Questions

Hi everyone!!
After have an oil pressure and oil temp gauges in my car for about a year or so I only hooked them up to the engine yesterday and was wondering what readings other people were getting?

After a 10-15 minute drive mine reads

Oil Pressure - 6 bar (@ 3000rpm)
Oil Pressure - 2 bar (@ tickover)
Oil Temperature - 80 degrees

Whats yours??

03 WRX, Silkolene Pro R 15w50
6.5 to 7 bar cold start
after or around 3000 revs 6 bar
never drops below 3 bar when warm
Oil temp depends on what you are doing!!! LOL
Anywhere between 80 to 90 on the way to work, up to 100 in traffic or more if driving 'properly'! Ha.
All depends on type and viscosity of your oil

connected my oil temp guage the other day too, after the 10 mile trip to work its just leaving 80, after much longer journeys iv had it up to 140ish, does a lot of bouncing around all the time though (as though there is a bad earth).

connected boost guage up too, running at 10psi, is this normal ? thinking of turning it up to 15, if i knew how that is

i read that oil operates best between 220-240 c, my gauge goes from 80 -320c (if memory serves) so 220c is about in the middle, besides how can you keep the oil below a certain temp?

My pressure is exactly the same on a 93wrx running mobil 1 10-50, no temp gauge yet tho.

As a wise man once said, "good pressure does not necessarily mean good flow!"
LOL.

Please for your own sake dont just turn the boost up, depending on the model, it should boost to about 14 - 15 psi then drop back to 10 - 11psi, you need to take the car to someone who knows what they are doing before changing the boost pressure

Be careful if the gauge is bouncing around too much. It may well be a bad earth but I also had the sender unit pack up on mine and it was a seal inside that had gone. Some funny smells after a spirited drive and diagnosis was the sender seals completely gone and oil being pumped out the sender!
