Default Polar performance chips

Hi folks, looking for some input, I'm considering chipping my pre-facelift import WRX wagon and am looking at the pp chip - is the map on all pp chips the same or model specific? My wagon has a TD04 charger and it's a bit ambiguous on the PP site as to whether one size fits all.
Thanks!

When you order you will be asked which model it is for. So model specific.

What does this "chip" actually do?

Be a little careful, it's VERY easy to do expensive damage to an Impreza engine by messing with the map.

you will not go wrong with one of those chips so long as you tell him you have the td04 and not the td05.
they are well respected chips.

I used to have one, very pleased with the price/performance. Scott T is very helpfull too. Only thing is you'll get the bug and eventually want more!!!

^^ lol, well thanks for the comments all, and I can see the risk of getting 'The Bug' Already scanning ebay for TD05's - just window shopping mind
The Polar Performance chip seems a good starting point, as much to map it to UK fuel and to remove the limiter as much as anything, not that I want to frag my engine but it would be nice to not have a hard ceiling!

I use a PP chip with no problem at all. It may pay to fit a TD05 (can be bought for £100) as well, because all the chips are the same price. With a dawes device to give me the 1.1 bar boost I got 303bhp / 290 ft/lbs.

I take it you have a de-cat downpipe? I'm 99% sure the map is for decat only.

LOL, no, it's probably that mine had a new ecu so long ago that I've just not looked at these at all.
