hi all ok got my new turbo back decat system and need some advice?

can this be done myself? how difficult is it?

heres what ive found the process so far please correct me if im wrong


remove ic
remove turbo upper heat sink (7 bolts)
remove turbo lower heat sink (3 bolts)
undo 5 bolts from downpipe to turbo
remove downpipe
remove middle section
remove back box

and re fit new exaust is this bout write

with home ramps the job is pretty easy, the hardest but is getting the bolts undone on the turbo. they seaze up.
defo need 6 sided socket set

You might want to soak your downpipe bolts in WD40 the night before if your car has original downpipe on.The nuts will be a swine to get off if your car is 17 years old.However on my MY99 uk turbo ,never even bothered with wd40,just came straight off.
Dont forget to use new gaskets.

my is a 2005 wrx so hopefully they come of i hear the heat sink may not go back on and the a/c pipe might need moving
