Default heaters ect.. fuse classic help

heater fans, cigi lighter, stereo,dash lights ect.. are not working, after cigi lighter shorting out. but cant see a fuse blown anywhere. its prefacelift, wheres the fuse for it ive had half the dash out?

Its in the panel by your right knee. Pull the little door off, and there a description as to what each fuse does, if its a UK model, sometimes they don'tlook blown, so if you see it, swap it for another of the same rating to test it.

If a Classic, then theres a fuse box down near the accelerator attached to the side of the footwell. IIRC, the centre dash's stereo, cigar lighter etc.'s fuse (std 'blade' type) is in the bottom-most row; 2nd one in from the bulkhead end. I think it might be a blue 15A fuse... or it could be a red 10A one, lol.

Start by removing that fuse first anyhow - hopefully it should show a clear break (you should have some spare fuses embedded in the perimeter of the fuse box's black plastic lid). If it's not the right one, then you'll have to systematically go through them row by row, column by column...

NOTE: If you have to reconnect anything, do that first before sorting the fuse - that way you won't have to disconnect the batt! (as the circuit is already broken by that blown fuse ).
