hi guys, as above, today noticed that when i press the brake it creaks.. both inside and outside the car.

creaking its the best word to describe it..

could this be a piston or something? major problem?

Strip them, clean everything and reassemble, I dont believe its a major problem at all though. I've had similar before but never really found anything.

The creaking is usually the calipers flexing , and it can only do this if the pads cannot move freely in the caliper when the pistons move , remove the pads and thoroughly clean the calipers where the pads fit , fit some copper slip to the backs , and either end of the pads , be carefull not to get any on the pad surface.
It should be fine then
Cheers Ian

Use an old toothbrush to reach all the nooks and crannies. These Brembo calipers seem to disproportionately accumulate muck and I used to clean mine every 6 months before I changed them for APs. If they have been left for a long time the pads may well be jammed in hard. Machine mart sell a reverse impact device for about a fiver that is invaluable for this job.
