First of all exactly what 96 import do you have? also need the type of vehicle (saloon or wagon) otherwise we could be here all day

Ok, your standard turbo is good for 350bhp with the right mods, your not too bad as the ecu can have a daughterboard (ESL chip) fitted and mapped, you will require a front mounted intercooler really, uprate the front brakes (no point in going fast if you cant stop ) your clutch and gearbox may well suffer at 350bhp and 300+lbs of torque so you should atleast plan for a clutch at some point and possably a gearbox in the near future.
You will also need to upgrade your injectors to either 440's or better still 550's, ensure you get the right ones though as yours is a phase 1 engine

I have the same model and was planning the same mods.
What power level could the standard internals take?

Standard injectors are 380's, good for around 300bhp, standard internals are good to 350bhp though some people get more and its ok and some get less and its a piston through the block job....

Clutch is a certainty IMO at 300+. Might survive for a while if its not too worn, but only a matter of time.
