last night i was driving along quite happily and then i stopped at the traffic lights and was in the wrong lane to turn off so i pulled away rather fast and then when i changed into second the car hesitated for a couple of seconds and then went back to normal, after about and hour i went to overtae another car in fourth and then hesitated really badly at about 3k revs so i slowed down and then changed into second and floored it and it did the same thing so i pulled over and then it just kept cutting out as soon as it started running it was really lumpy and then i gave it some throttle and sparks flew about 20ft out of my exhaust and then it just wouldnt start again.
it sounds like its got compression but it just wont fire up!
has anybody got any experience of this as i cant think for the life of me as to what it could be and the cars still stuck in bournemouth as i cant get it home!
id really appreciate any help you guys could give me as i need the car for my job!!

basic checks first, plugs and coil condition

or just get it on a dyno and get some diagnostic work done

can you check the error codes on your model?

 

going from the symptoms described and on my own experiance of this problem it could be one of two things, either the fuel supply is blocked or fuel pump packed up or you could have one or two ignition coilpack(s) nackered. hope this helps good luck.

 

error codes read 43 and 33 which is throttle position sensor and speed sensor, they have read that for a while though as my speedo cable doesnt reach and theres something up with the throttle position sensor bt other than that its been fine! im getting the car picked upinaminute so will find out then
