Default Missfire Classic Sti

As above i have a 95 classic sti impreza ticks over really smooth but when accelarating and hitting 3k it pinks a bit and missfires up the revs its just not reving proply and spits back a bit.Changed the coils,plugs,map sensor made no change at all and checked the fault codes which showed nothing.Any ideas appreciated ?

fuel filter might be choked
fuel pump on way out

My old sti used to do this. I took it to scooby clinic and it was a very small brass "nipple" inside a boost pipe that was causing it. Is this a boost solenoid?

Also, it only started happening in the cold air...

I was thinking fuel filter planning that tommorow.The boost sol on the drivers in wing do you mean mate if so i changed that today aswell and was same

I have a 2001 mine holds back sometimes for about half a second then picks up. is this the same problem youve got

It holds back right up the revs after 3k mate not just a second the whole way
