Default Painting maniifold/intercooler

OK, as I'm taking my manifold off to replace the fuel lines etc. (Perrin kit on the way) I'm also planning to remove the tgv butterflies and port the bodies. To do this I've got hold of a complete manifold which I fancy painting (VHT crinkle) - now should I go Red a la STI or Black?

I also fancy painting the intercooler while it's off, will this cause any probelms with the efficency? Or do I just paint the 'frame' and leave the fins alone - if I so this can I remove the painted Sti logo to replace it with a WRX one?
