Default Need new insurance certificate but...

Toad want £150 to come round check the alarm and issue the new certificate.... seems abit harsh as they will prob be there like 20 min is there other companys that could do this cheeper or am i just gonna have to take it ????????

Its up yo you mate but £150 for an approval certificate seems crazy .You could have another cat 1 system installed for £250 and have the new certificate signed by your installer.
Is it for your insurance ,if the alarm was fitted before you owned the car,then most insurances can check on there databases if the the vehicle has a cat 1 / 2 alarm fitted.

when i lost my cobra alarm certificate, i went to a dealer who sells them in notts and got one done for £25 i think???

have you tried someone other than toad who are suppliers...you may find more joy there???

yes the alarm was fitted before i bought the car and yes its for the insurance... surely there must be other companies that can give me a certificate at a lower price than that
