Boost Pipe Help
Right I've changed my turbo from a TD04 to a VF35. Unfortunately I made the mistake of removing the old turbo 6 months ago and only refitted it last weekend. I now have a random (boost?) pipe that doesn;t have a home and has left me head scratching.
I have drawn a diagram to help explain better. Please excuse the crude MS Paint nature of it.
Now as I understood it the box on the left is the boost solenoid going to the inlet and turbo. So what is the box above it and what does it do? it has a pipe going to the inlet manifold with what looks like a restrictor but it's been t'd off ( I can't remember before or after the restrictor so I've put it after)... This is the pipe that doesn;t have a home, where does it go?
So I need help with the two question marks
a) what does that bit do?
and
b) where does that pipe go?
Also when fitting a boost controller am I right in thinking I T it off before the actuator? And that goes into the controller and then back out into the actuator?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Giles

How Subaru's Factory Boost Control System Works v1[1] 01
Cant really see the part your talking about so maybe thats an aftermarket part. Pretty sure someone will be along to help you shortly anyway

Thanks mate thats a really handy link!
Yeah the other part isn't mention in it so still unsure as to what it actually does. As you say it could've had an aftermarket part at some point and been removed. Although I don't remember it just hanging there when I removed the bits.
Theres a spare space on the carbon canister I'm thinking it could go to that?

Just got a picture off of Google images to try and demonstrate.
The green is obviously my boost solenoid with the two pipes coming out of the bottom. But what is the thing circled red and where would you T it off too?

The red circled sensor is the MAP sensor - The MAP sensor has a short vacuum pipe running to the Pressure Exchange solenoid (which is the brick red coloured valve) - Then the PE Solenoid connects to the inlet plenum via the vacuum line you have highlighted
The T that comes off the Map Sensor/ Pressure Exchange Solenoid line goes to the bottom of the valve that is plumbed into the air inlet hose, just after the MAF tube - If you look at the bottom of the pic that you posted up, you can just see the valve down beneath the two coolant lines and the throttle cable
