I have just done a coolant change on my impreza my2000 uk model and noticed on the reservor there is a bit missing off the bottom (looks like its been sealed with sealer), is there ment to be a small pipe connected to the reservoir on this year as cant seem to find the pipe. anyone with a pic would be ver helpfull, ive tried doing searches but come up with nothing.

What do you mean by "coolant reservoir"? The reservoir/header tank is the one bolted to the 1/3 branch of the inlet manifold with the pressure cap on it. There should be one pipe emerging from this underneath, and three more running into the top.
If you mean the overflow tank level gauge next to the nearside headlamp, there should be two connections at the bottom, one leading to the link pipe running over the radiator an another larger one running into the overflow tank itself.

Thanks for the quick reply
Its the overflow tank the plastic one at the wing
I have one pipe at the top that runs from the header tank along the top of the rad then into the cap and one bigger pipe that runs through the wing but the other small pipe is sealed shut and no other pipe is there, im sure i had one on my last impreza.
Cheers
