Default two questions(02 sti)

firstly - i have 3 inch full decat exhaust system and wanted to know when the bung is in to reduce noise does it reduce power or performance ? it does
seem so but might be in my mind as its more quiet

secondly -my clock in the dash (digital one) has give up the ghost and died,i have took the dash piece out and its got power going to it but wont work, for a few weeks it was coming on and off but then it stopped working.can these be bought from anywhere or is it main stealer only.i thought it was only the classics that packed up.
car is my 02 sti, cheers

Ref the clock. It probably just needs a bit of solder on one of the connections, (it worked on mine). I think there may be a "how to do it" link somewhere on the site.

It doesn't have to be loose. Mine looked fine so I presume it was a dry joint. Just resoldered all the joints and it worked fine after that. I might just have been lucky, good luck with yours.
