One of the niggles that 'bug' my eye and ears, is when the boot opens theres no damping or spring mechanism to stop the lid from banging repeatedly until it settles into its open position. Is there any common resolution to this issue? I have a 02 WRx if you havn't gatherd that already.

my classic did it with sti mid level fitted a v5 high spoiler dont happen anymore
i looked but cant see anyway of adjusting the spring on the lid
