hi could any1 shed any light on this one for me my car is being rebuilt at the min and im doin a lot of mods im wanting to run a garret gt35r but have read that i need exhaust modifications and external waste gate could any1 tell me is this a big job and wat exhaust mods i need to make thanks
scotttiley ive just been on the rcm site and the kit says (non sti)just my luck it just adds to the list my apexi power fc is no gd to me anymore need a diff ecu as well as other porbs ive had the build goes on
think you have been looking in the wrong place mate.the rotated set up will fit all models, also i hope you going to uprate your gearbox aswell as the 35r will smash it to bits.

good choice of box,i have one from an 06 sti in mine with the neetronics diff controller(not that i know how to use it).who is doing your engine build as it sounds like your going for some big power.
In order to run a true Garrett GT35R on an impreza you'll need the following:
Tubular manifold (preferably the 3 bolt)
an up pipe which will allow fitment of a T3 flanged turbo in the "rotated" position.
A bracket to support the weight of the turbo which is secured to the cylinder head and block.
A down pipe which will have a 3 inch garret flange this can be four bolt type or V band.
An external wastegate.
Necessary oil and water feeds and returns.
Other than getting a fabricator to make the kit up for you there arent many options other than the RCM kit.
It's expensive but fitment is superb and you'll get everything you'll need to do the job.

ali burrows motorsport is building my car i have ordered gt spec uppipes waiting on them and injectors at the min and the car already has a full 3inch decat system on it il run threw what i can rem 2.5 full steal rebuild with race bearings rods cossie pistons 740cc injectors walbro fuel pump fuel regulator the only other things i need to finish what i am doin is cold air induction map sencor upgrade turbo and a simtek my apexi power fc is no good to me anymore
you'll need bigger than 740cc injectors and more than just a walbro to get the best out of a true Garrett GT35R unless you're only planning oon running at 1.5bar for example.
I'm aiming for atleast 550bhp using a strengthened 2.5 Cossie pistons, Pauter rods, front mounted GT35R (0.63 Housing) Cosworth Cams. I'm using a walbro as a lift pump and inline bosch 044 pump and 1000cc Injector Dynamics injectors.
I'd seriously look into improving the the fueling side of things further if its a proper Garrett GT35R

well at the min its to late now the 740cc injectors are order and prob on there way thats good to know so i will porb upgrade the fuel in a few months time but at the min i need to get the car sorted run in and then mapped the 740cc and the walbro
I maxed out a set on a gt30/40r. I then had them moddified to 1100's and they are running at 82% at 3.5 bar static pressure. Thats like maxing out a set of 900's and I seriously doubt my car is making over 600hp.
