Default mods and remap

I have the following parts:

prodrive sports cat downpipe (already on)
prodrive intercooler hose
prodrive decat
walbro fuel pump
prodrive back box

which of the above are safe to fit and drive without a remap until I get it booked in.

I fitted all of those to mine with a decat uppipe as well. No major running issues just don't get ragging it. Hoping to get mine mapped when the weather picks up, I would fit a new panel filter as well.

I think it would be cheaper and more convienient to fit it and remap all in one go

it's easy to fit all your self, but if you fit all you may get over boost due to free flowing parts your fitting. I.E intercooler pipe with decatted exhaust, but if said already and you dont rag it should be fine. Remap is best same day as fitment, as you will be tempted to boot it.

i will boot it, thats why i asked.

I do intend on doing the swap myself.

What if I swap everything and leave original back box until day of remap. That should slow down the gases?

I would say with them being the prodrive items you should be okay if anything the on the wrx just not getting the best out of it, biggest risk is the induction kit or is it just a panel filter you have?

you could fit and then remove the small piece of vac hose between turbo compressor nipple and T piece and replace with another piece as it has a restrictor in.. by removing you would drop the boost to about 0.5bar and therefore be safe, just refit before mapping or replace with 3port etc on mapping day

Cheers,

So do I need a new restrictor? Or do I just take my original out till mapping day?

take it out until mapping day.. you just may find it easier to replace pipe..

it would be sensible to consider a 3port to be fitted on day of mapping to replace 2port and restrictor in pipe becomes redundent at that point
