hi guys what model did they put 52d+r paint on?
on my badge it says 52d but when i went to spectrum the 52d+r seemed closer than 52d they had.
the 52d+r seemed to have more metallic in it than the other. am i probs best stickin with the same paint code. thanks for help

normally with paints the code remains the same, in ur case, 52d.

the manufacturers then make diff shades, +r, -r, +d, -d, -y etc etc

they basically mean, less or more red, more dark less dark, less yellow etc.

im a paint by trade, what i do is colour chip the car to correct shade, then mix 1/10th of colour, spray out card and match, some shades are very close, spray out cards are approx half a4 size.

hope this helps

only main codes under bonnet so 52d

the + r etc shades need to be matched.

the shades only show up on the mixing scheme when we enter the paint code.

they will be many scoobys about with a 52d, all diff shades
