**NEED HELP WITH TMIC SIZES**
Hi,
i have a blob eye wrx and upgrading it so brought a sti intercooler off of a bugeye I thought they were the same but when it got delivered its exactly the same size as my standard wrx blob one.
PLEASE help with sizes as the seller is reluctant to give my money back cos he swears blind the buy eye and blob eye have different size intercoolers.
Is he right???????????
Thank you

I've been told by three different people two from subau in the parts department one about serial numbers of which the serial numbers of mine (blobeye) match the serial number on the 'sti' i just brought. they are the same.. i get told it is aobut half as big again, a noticeable difference

As has been said, it sounds like you've sold the OP a WRX intercooler. The only other explanation is that the he already has an STi IC on his car, without realising it - which sounds the less likely explanation.
Richard1522: if there is any lingering doubt, can you post up a picture of the offending part, either here or linking us to the eBay auction? It's easy to tell what it is if we can see it.

the intercooler i was given to list on ebay was taken from a bugeye sti bought from calders in livingston last year and he stated to me that the sti had been repainted as it was fading ??? hes refueing to give the guy a refund which puts me in a akward position ?

John if you count the amount of columns of fins in your ad and the compare to the one in the flat4 ad then the intercooler you have sold would appear to be shorter.

only thing i can think is the when the seller got it it had sti on it and he mistook it for the genuine thing. it is not he should give u your money back !!!!!!!!!!!!!

what would every 1 else do ??? i am askin literally what you all would do if ur mate wouldnt give you the money back if i give him my own money as a refund ??? i know the 1st thing is going to be ( not much of a mate lol ) i know , but im pretty much stuck here as everything i have sold on here and on ebay ive had 100% feedback ??? and now this i have gave him his number but i doubt this will solve much ?

Count the number of rows on the core, it only has 29. STi one has 33 or 35, forget which.

Either way the OP is right. Hopefully you can use this thread to convince your friend that a refund is in order. If not, the bottom line is that you have inadvertently or otherwise mis-sold an item on eBay. Up to you to do the decent thing.

dont get me wrong mate , i wish i had 100 notes to give u but looks like weve both been screwed ( u the worst is suppose ) i appologise for any inconvenience caused towards yourself and i do feel bad , but the cash i recieved went straight to him so i would have to give u my own money which i cant afford right now . plus i risked my feedback score on ebay of 100% which is stevies fault , i wish i could help , try his mobile but i doubt he ( like he was with me ) would give u the time of day on the matter

Maybe you could pay him back at £20 a week or something. Either way, washing your hands is sh*tty, and depending on how the payment was made, something you may not be able to get away with anyway.
OP: Was this a PayPal or cash payment? Have you reported it via eBay's dispute system yet?
