Default Jurk on Boost

Hi guys

Just a quick question was driving the car this morning and when the smallest amount of boost was applied it jolted me like it suddenly lost power it went on for about 15 minutes , once engine was at prime temp it went away? any ideas?

i try not to use the boost before the oil is fully warmed up, it will only cause damage. what boost level is it jolting/cutting at

no your right mate, I think the problem may have been the oil temp as you say as i was in a hurry and gave it a bit to much to soon i think.

They do hold back if you try to use too much boost/throttle when the engine's not up to temp. I'm sure this is a normal safety feature i.e. the ECU deliberately holding back on WGDC and/or fuellng, etc.

I take it everything's all fine and dandy when up to normal operating temp, though?

yeah it appears to be fine I think being new to subarus it cought me off guard thats all and as its new I thought the worst lol

Mine does this to, I put it down to damp, as it only happens after a lot of rain, or at the moment melting snow, possibly in the maf sensor.

damp in the coil packs would be where i would look first.

coil packs need replacing it will get worse but please let you scoob warm and cool properly
