Default more power please

got an early sti 1994

at then moment its been fitted with, a walbro, 440cc injectors, turbo back blitz exhasut, induction kit, ngk pfr7's, fmic and apexi power fc

its set at 1 bar high boost and it pulls great but as ever id like a bit more

it has an uprated clutch and bigger brakes to go on shortly.

obv the boost will need to creep up to get a bit more out it, then it risks going bang, but i want to replace the engine abox at some point in future anyway

dont get me wrong i dont want to destroy it overnight, but im sure the inevtable will happen

anything obv ive missed that could help?

or is it now just a boost controller and remap the only way?

I presume you are using a dawes device at the moment ?

An ESL board and live remap is the way forward on yours if you still have the std ecu in there. It can control the boost nicely so a separate boost controller wont be needed.

no dawes device

just the apexi ecu

i was going to get the esl board but my previous ecu had a chip soldered in place where the esl board is mean to go - i think it was linked to the hks fcon unit that the car had

so i went for the apexi unit instead

Need a boost controller or apexi map sensor and a another remap to see full potential.

cheers people

i know its a can of worms and my engine has no forged bits, basically a wrx engine, but what would be your next boost level?

1.2 bar?

the engine has been well looked after from what i can tell, but obv its knocking on 15 years old

1.2-1.35 depending on current state of engine, mapper will decide this on the day.
