Hi all, would a tmic from a 02 impreza fit my 97 impreza?

yep.just done this mod on mine.put an 03 wrx i/c onti my uk 97 classic.all had to do was get the pipe for the dump valve wleded to the new i/c as there is no room for new age dump valve as the idle control valve in the way.cost me £44 on ebay for mint i/c and welding was £20.

i also bought new i/c to throttle body silicon hose that was an inch longer so had more room around the dump valve hole on i/c.just gives enough room as pipe for icv is right in the way.all the other year scoobies seem to have a different icv that isnt in the way.
will get some pics on here.

all done at last.
had the outlet pipe for d/v welded onto new i/c:

then good clean and lick of paint:

then cut the new pipe work to size and trial fit i/c:



then make left hand spacer up for mounting point and right hand one just drilled new hole 3/4 inch away from original hole to push bracket out far enough to clear side of i/c.then just bolt up.


had no clearance issues underneath and just got to get under tray for bonnet to make most of extra size.
