wrx 1996 import mods advise plz
hi ive got a wrx 1996 import full 3.5" decat , race manifold, hks airfilter system, just woundering what over mods i can do with out putting the engine under to much strain? ie i dont want to push it to the end of its life as i use it everyday.

Do you have a saloon or wagon?
Now personally I would do the same for both of the above, Brakes, 2 pots really are crap, knocklink or better still, a KS3 knock analyser that shows your engines not being blown apart from the inside out, either an aftermarket ecu or an ESL chip and mapped for your mods.
Now out of curiosity, what fuel are you running her on?

hi its a saloon and i run it on tescos super 99 soz i forgot to say its had lightnd flywheel when it had new cluth beginnig of last year

Nice to see you run her on something reasonable vpower is better though but still do my other bits, the suspension should be on there also as that isnt exactly brilliant

thanks tb where would i be able to find KS3 knock analyser and is it a easy fit or a garage job ( is v power better ?)

V power is better as its refined@99+ron, tesco 99 is 97 with additives.
You can pick up a ks3 from aztec performance (just google it or have a look through the group buys) and they are fairly easy to fit had mine hard wired in though so you need an auto electrician for that (doesnt cost much).

Its higher octane fuel, the tesco's should be ok as your car is mapped for 97, add the knock sensor then drive with tesco's in, run it low, add v power and see the difference
