Default Big lag, Dip in power.

Hi. My my99 is playing up. On anything less than full throttle there is a huge dip in power just before the turbo kicks in, almost feels like its gona stall. its only for a split second then the turbo comes in, does anyone have any ideas please?? there are no mods on the car apart from exhaust and de cat. Oooo and happy christmas.

Hello what model is it as MY99 covers a large variety of subaru's
Also when you say its getting a dip in power, when is this? ie from idle onwards or say from 4k rpm?
Also is this from cold or when the engine is hot?

sorry yer, its a uk turbo impreza. Not from idle, when accelarating its just before the turbo comes in, just for a split second. Its more of a dip when its cold, but still does it when it is warm. but not as bad. just want to sort it.

It could be overboosting due to the cold weather, that decat can do that, does it have a boost gauge fitted?

A remap would be advisable, if she is hitting 1.2 bar then your probably hitting the ecu cut out (just over 16psi).
