Default hellllllp please

my subaru 95 wrx jdm turbo, last week i went over and started the car up and after a good while of trying to turn over it finally started up.
but it is backfireing badly when i rev the car you can hear the popping and banging and flames shooting out of the car.also if i let it idel it will end up stalling after a few seconds.there is also a loss of power not loads but enought. any ideas as to what it can be people as now the battery is dieing so quick if i leave the battery connected over night it is dead by the morning. even if i drive it before hand but i cant see the battery causing all the problems even if it is knackered imo could be wrong. so im stuk with ideas i took plugs out gave the a clean ect any ideas people would be grately appriciated as its starting to p*** me of now

forgot to say the car is running on simtek
also the battery was of the car for around a week, because the battery was low it was causing problems with my alarm.so just disconected it

Things to try are new battery, it could be the maf sensor or the coil packs could be on their way out take them out and remove the rubber boots to see if they are cracked.

my mates rover ( i know lol ) has the exact same probs as well as no dash lights, jst found out his alternator is fooked (sparking) and that his piston rings have gone, although in addition he has blue smoke and a serious loss of power, in my experience a misfire/backfire is usually plugs/coilpacks though.

the car was running fine but damaged the gearbox so had to fit a new one the car was of road for a few weeks finally got it running and this problem started straight away.i was thinking maybe alternator but lights on dash dont dim just battery dies sooo quick.
guess its prob either coil pack or plugs but i did notice spark was not very strong

Put a new battery on it dude as a first step. Dodgey electrical faults can cause all sorts of issues.
