Rods are the weakest link in the standard motor.
If all the correct supporting mods are in place, and the motor is mapped det free, then it should be good for 350ftlb

not to bad, already have harvery ported headers and up-pipe, excedy flywheel and clutch, fmic, induction kit and by friday a apexi power fc.
what else would be needed to see that 350bhp

UK cars:-
MY94-96, 208bhp / 201lb ft
MY97/98, 208bhp / 214lb ft
MY99/00, 215bhp / 214lb ft
I think the Catalunya is a MY97 (with the 1st "ph.1.5" facelift), so it has a bit of extra torque (+13lb ft) when compared to the earliest MY94-96 cars.

you will also need a turbo upgrade.

And injectors,ecu upgrade, exhaust, panel filter etc, this is where it starts getting. Expensive, oh and a vf35 will suit your needs perfectly (or a td05 16g or vf34)

full system with decat, harvey ported headers, greedy cone filter, fmic,excedy lightened flywheel and clutch ,ngk7's,uprated fuel pump and a apexi power fc so far. what else do i need apart from a turbo and 550cc injecters?
