Just about to start fitting my new engine that i have purchased for my 98my uk scooby, already hit my first problem, can anyone advise me on hoe to remove the old thrust bearing as i have tried a couple of diff ways and it still wont pull out, i have removed the allen key bolt from the side casing and tried to knock the bar what the folks sit on threw but this wont move am i doing it right help please.....

Bejeezers, you don't knock the bar through, you screw an M6 bolt into it and use that to pull it out through the hole.
