Default Fuelcuts and juddering

Hi.

Ive got an prob. with my 93 WRX RA.

If i drive with half throttle everything is fine. Engine also starts and drives without any problems.

But as soon i go full trothle ( full boost ) the engine cuts out.

This mostly occures at 3-5 gear.

What causes this?

I opened the ponet and saw this. What is this? As you can see there is something broke...

Thank you

That is the 'pressure exchange solenoid'. Needs replacing

Hi

Thanks for reply m8.

Do you know where to buy the whole unit? Price ?

Do you think it is repairable?

And why would anybody close this whole with glue and just glue the tube on?

Any strange bhp increase?

Thanks

The for sale section on here or a breakers would be my 1st call

Not repairable in my eyes

To bodge it

Only power to be lost here, the unit and the surrounding items are critical to your performance

The other end of that pipe goes to the Manifold Air Pressure sensor. With it being disconnected, the ECU doesn't know what boost is being produced, and therefore cuts fuel if you accelerate hard.
As already said above, unfortunately, it looks like you'll need a new/2nd hand pressure exchange solenoid to replace.
