cuts out under hard boost
Just bought another scooby after a year and a half with out one, but it cuts out under hard acceleration in 4th & 5th. i had one before that did the same and I think it was something to do with a sticky over boost valve. Has any one got ideas before I spend loads of money for no reason. It's a 2000 W reg turbo.
Thanks

Your car is overboosting by the sounds, what modifications does it have? (decat etc?)
You will notice the overboosting in gear, it feels like an on/off pulse unless its really kicking in then it will be quite violent

Thanks for the replies, I had a 97 r plate that had what i think was the same problem and the dealer cleaned out a plastic valve near the strut top and it cured it but i'm not sure which one it is. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Tonyburns, I'm not sure about decat but it has a magnex back box and blue print panel filter and he said it is remapped to 280 brake, i'm hoping it is just a matter of cleaning out the valve i'm trying to find.
Thanks
