Default Fuel saving Gizmo

Has anybody ever tried one of these......

FUELMAX Vortex generator Fuel Saver for AUDI on eBay (end time 12-Dec-09 21:13:58 GMT)

I've always been told that if something sounds too good to be true then it probably is!! Just wondered??

I haven't tried one, but I think your original guess is right... it is too good to be true. Bear in mind the claimed improvements are based (looking at the table on the link there) on much larger engines than we have here, based on the US market as well given the reference to gas prices. Their claimed effect on smaller engines is only 7% according to their table, so probably not worth the effort.

I've seen things like these before, either based on vortex generation or even magnets used around fuel lines, but one simple fact remains - if they really did work, given their low cost, surely the manufacturers would have them fitted already?

Just a thought...

So if i get both I'll use less fuel and about 60bhp extra, all for £1.98!!!!! What a bargain.

i pissed myself when i saw these and had to read the feedback you get a flat piece of metal lol and have to make it yourself and how many people have left negative feedback saying it dont work!!! well what do you expect bet this blokes laughin all the way to the bank
