Default Ignition Barrel change

After some thieving ****** stole my keys after my house was broken into, I need to change the locks on my impreza WRX 1994.
Ive done the door locks but cant work out how the hell you get the ignition barrel out without disturbing/drilling the whole steering lock.

Surely you must be able to remove it wothout drilling!

Plus I dont have a key for it!

Cheers

Default

the barrel is fitted with shear bolts

basically when they are tightened up the head then snaps off stopping it just being undone again,so you need to use a small chisel or punch and tap the bolts back round to undo them

thats the 1st stage

if the steering lock is on,i cant remember what i did then (i took a barrel from a scrapped impreza to fit to mine)

good luck
