Thanks for replY alot cheaper too. Is it any good though, obviously you won't beat the old hks ones. Do you need a remap when you fit one of these?

If your fitting a boost controller and upping your boost you will need a re-map so your fuelling is correct etc!!
Also your better paying more and going for the Apexi AVCR......if you pay cheap you get Sh*t!!

do understand the point(pay for the name)....
but if i was going to buy a b/con the apexi would be bottom of the list..(more of a bling thing)
but if you aint got the cash, what do you do???????
and most of the mlr scene run the gizzmo one and most run over 350+bhp so must be ok...
and there cheap!!
i'm not going to argue about the best or worse, but i'd just buy a hks ajustable actuator(if they did one for the scoob)and fit that as there better than any boost con

Its not about paying for the name, i run really big BHP and and i know alot of guys who also run big BHP (all above 500+) and thats the choice controller. I have had experience with others as i had a blitz one before also.....but at the end of the day i find the apexi has much better control etc!
But at the end of the day, i suppose it comes down to what you need and can afford.....everyone to there own

p.s.
Im not arguing with you or saying your wrong

If having the car mapped then no need for a boost controller.. it won't hurt but is unnecessary

is it worth fitting one if your not getting remap? I don't currently have a boost gauge so don't know what boost car is running. With a electronic boost gauge am I right in thinking I can set it and that's what it will be.

you need it mapped when you fit it.. boost can be setup by the ecu and therefore no need for the boost controller.. but also it can be fitted and used to control the boost and display it when mapped etc..
