Default AVCR Off Setting

Where is the off setting on the AVCR?

I can change from A to B, but can't see the off setting?!

I was wanting to turn it off to give less boost which would be 0.9bar wouldn't it?

the button you use to switch from a to be, when on that screen press the other side. this will turn it off.

i.e if you press the right button to switch from a to be, press the left button

Ok, thanks! I will give that a go.

Do the screen turn off, or can you still monitor boost, rpm etc?

Are you anticipating low octane fuel or having to leave the car somewhere you don't trust?
The amount of boost you'll see with just actuator control will vary according to the turbo you have and to what the actuator has been set to. My MD321H gives 1bar

PS After reading the AVC-R instruction book 198 times (maybe a slight exaggeration?) you start to get brave enough to press some buttons!

I'm going on holiday over Christmas through France, Belgium, German, Czech and Slovakia (where the missus is from).
So there is the low octane fuel, although a lot of stations had 101 octane last time I went, and the missus might drive, so I will knock the boost down for her.

I'm running a MD321T so it might be around 1 bar as well. I will go out and test it later on.

I haven't ever touched the AVCR to be honest incase I **** something up. JGM set it up, but I'd like to try to tweak it.....although don't know if I need to or not as I'd think he would have set it up spot on.

As you know there is the 'A' and 'B' setups, if Simon have only adjusted one of them (find out with him) then you can play with the other one as much as you like and still be able to return to Simons setup with a push of a button
Just remember which one is which

He definately set up setting A, as this is my main one which I run 100% of the time. This is set up for 1.6 Bar.

Setting B is set up for 1.4 Bar, which I've never used. As in theory is I want low boost, I will use the OFF setting.

So I could have a play with B.

Is this a good guide? YouTube - Project EJ18T: AVCR Tuning

Also, does any one run 1.6 Bar as well? Could you maybe give me your settings so I can compare it?

Thanks

Just been for a blast........and with the setting to OFF, it boost at 1.4Bar @ 7000rpm. Is this the lowest boost you think for this turbo?
