Hi, can anyone offer any advice on this plan please,

I have recently purchased a nur spec 3" backbox, would it be o.k to mate it up to a 2.5" center section??

reason for this:-

1. struggling to find the right 3"center section.

2. i already have 3" system on now and its quite laggy (alot more noticeable from a 2.5"system) car runs td05 16G, front mount etc 330/300

3. im a welder/fabricator so would be easy enough for me to weld a 3" flange on the end of 2.5" cener pipe.

Soooo... can anyone offer any opinions on what im planning? (ie going from a 2.5" center pipe to a 3" backbox)

the nur spec r will only mate up with the nur spec r centre pipe... the nur spec S is just the backbox and will mate to any 2.5" centre

I have a nur spec backbox with 3" pipework, so basically a nur spec r with no center section.

need to mate it to a center section.

i have just fited a nur spec s tonight, to a magnex centre 2.5.
the nur spec s has a reducer on the end, the nur spec r does not.
you say you will fit an expander on your centre so theres no reason why you should have running problems.
you will end up with what the nur spec s does.
its loud by the way! i may fit my resonated centre again.

Sounds like the master plan's coming together then

just wondering if by fitting the 2.5" center it may reduce my lag slightly (running 3" at present)
