ECU MAP FOR UK FUEL
ALRIGHT GUYS, I HAVE A V4 STI 1997 WITH STANDARD ECU, I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU GO ABOUT MAPPING IT TO RUN CORRECTLY ON UK FUEL, DO YOU NEED A NEW ECU OR CAN THEY MAP THE STANDARD ONE + WHO WILL DO THIS AND HOW MUCH AM I LOOKING AT PRICE WISE TO DO THIS?

Can you not use caps please its classed as shouting
And you will need a new ecu as your ecu isnt mappable (and do you mean a version 3 as those are the MY97 cars, version 4's are MY98 cars, MY standing for model year).

There not, but its still mapped for a high octane fuel (higher than 97) so its always better to be safe than sorry unless you have a ks3/knocklink etc fitted and are using octane booster, then add some mods..... definate need for a remap then

have seen some where they are safe and others not.
also double check the ecu is standard.. remove and check for jap stickers and open case to check for rom board (post pictures if required).
Best to get it checked
