a dremel is probably the easiest and safest way to do it

I used a Dremel. Due to the heat gererated when cutting the plastic it was melting and joining back together

I let a friend use an angle grider. He said that with a dremel it would be harder to make a straight cut because of the disc being so much smaller.

Perfect result.

I used an air powered saw to roughly cut the shape, then finished with an angle grinder fitted with a soft pad and 38 grit disc.

A combination of jig saw and angle grinder but do not overheat the material.
Cutting blade and grinding blades are helpful.
Do not do it in one go unless you have a proven template.
Take several cuts and a little at a time.
