Default identify my engine

Ok i know I should know what engine is in my scooby but I don't ok laugh and joke get it over with.

My question is how do I identify my engine 100% to allow me to order parts such as silicon hose sets etc which are all engine specific.

its a 2002 bugeye wrx with a/c its a wagon if that makes any difference but i assume its only the shell they changed for the wagon and nothing else.

I have had a look over it and can not find any helpful numbers please can someone help

Thanks in advance.

google = WikiAnswers - Where a vin number is located on a subaru engine

you could probably get away with referring to it simply as an '02 EJ20 block for the most part though .... since you say it's a wrx i'm assuming it's a 2litre turbo
