just upgraded from a 1.6 scooby to a wrx

my new wrx has been sat still for 2 and half year and needs an oil change and the rest, was just wondering what oil to put in it ive been told 10/40s is recomende by subaru but other are telling me to put 10/50s or millers 10/60 in it. its done 91000 miles on the clock

I am not exactly sure what oils you have available, but here in the States a really popular oil to use in the WRX or STi is Shell Rotella T 5w-40 Synthetic. There is a lot of good information on Bob is the Oil Guy I am sure you may have similar sites that pertain to oils that available in your area too. I hope this helps a little bit, but at the very least the website has a lot good information on choosing the proper oil for your car.

the difference on opinions for oil will never come to a conclusion mate as everyone have their own preference I use motul 15w 50 which in my opinion is one of the best but if u put "what oil" into the search bar u can read through the many,many discussions on this & make ur own mind up fella!
