Default 2007 WRX Tuning?

Hi Guys,

just wondered could someone point me in the right direction on engine tuning options on a 07 WRX?

I dont want to spend lots of ££ or go mad at the minute but would like 300bhp+ eventually!

The only thing I'm about to order is an exhaust and there again any recommendations?

cheers

Hello mate, i have an 06 WRX with prodrive fitted, probably running around 260 if that, exhaust i have is a haywood and scott 4.5 jap style exit with a de-resonated centre section (£369.00 fully fitted) gives a lovely burble and is not to loud. havent decatted yet but if i did and remapped would see a bit of increase in BHP but the torque would go up more. Check out jolly green monster on the net and speak to simon he will give you top advice on the best way ahead.

Best Regards

exhaust, green filter and a re map will give you around the 280 mark. fuel pump would be a safe feature to add if you plan to do a little more with time. after that its sti TMIC and turbo which will see you 330 340 ish. after that start saving as it turns very ££££ my plan is 550 ish.

the 1st 40bhp gain really gives the car one hell of a kick up the ***, she will pull like a train low down even in 5 gear so its a great starting point.

a rear ARB 22 would be a good idea to get rid of the understeer the car comes with.

that would be pushing your gearbox to the max, it would prob be fine but just make sure you save up!

2.5 wrx runs nice with exhaust tweaks and a remap.. around 280bhp and 340lb torque.
