Advice & help please!!!!!
Hello.
I am thinking of getting a 1998 uk impreza wagon turbo after selling my wrx a few month's ago. Apparently it has a slight issue with wastegate creep, apparently when driving at steady rpm e.g a motorway you can feel the car slightly pulsing as the wastegate open's & close's, was told the wastegate just need's adjusting & you need a boost gauge to do this. I was told the car drive's & boost's absolutely fine apart from this. He has replaced the boost solenoid so that is why he think's it just need's adjustment.
How do you do this & is it easy? Also what main differnce in power am I going to see between my wrx, which was de-catted with a stainless exhaust, dump valve & air filter against a standard uk estate?
I hope you can help me so I can see it tomorrow & get back into the impreza ownership!!!
