I went from a 3" scoobysport backbox to an Afterburner. Yes, there were pop's and bangs. Loved the sound. I was told it was unburned fuel igniting in the exhaust which was harmless.

Had a prodrive system on my wagon, changed it for a vortex afterburner which i got off ebay for £60.00,car pops ,bangs and the occasional flames from the exhaust.
I bought the bung from scoobyworld which makes long journeys an ease with no cabin drone. I am having the car mapped in the new year so not to sure if it will still continue to pop and bang, time will tell.

P.s on a full decatted system they sound awesome, the youtube videos dont do it justice.

Not on a standard exhaust system it won't. If you have an STi make sure you get a straight exit to avoid any conflict with the rear diffuser. Personally the NurSpec S dances all over the vortex on every level

My mate has a vortex on his hawkeye, and it definetley does not sound as loud as on my classic, that said its not exactly quiet.

Personally the NurSpec S dances all over the vortex on every level ,like you say personally its a matter of opinion. If i changed my vortex would only be for the nur spec r - awesome exhaust note imho.
