I've got an Engine Check light on my dash, and had it plugged in yesterday.

The error was: Brake Booster Valve.

Anyone know what this is? It is probably coincidence, but the light came on after I changed my alternator, and turned the ignition to 1 while the alternator wasn't there....hence me thinking it was that which made the light come on. But I got the error cleared yesterday but it cam straight back on.

Any ideas?

Try this Brake Booster Check valve - NASIOC

From that its saying the non return valve in the pipe, don't know if running the increased boost would damage it or not?

Update!

I got the original thing wrong, the exact thing it says on the Snap On diagnostic machine is:

P0558 - Brake Booster Pressure Sensor



Any ideas what or where that is?
