is it just the rev gauge that drops or does the car stall?
my rev gauge is all over the place and rarely correct

hmm, idle control valve needs a clean / replacing for the tickover problem?

why do you think your car is over boosting in 1st & 2nd only?

Hi all,no problem with tickover dosent stall at all, just rev counter sometimes seems abit lazy, car tickover ok but counter says like 200 rpm.
The car may not be over boosting,iv had a month now and when i first got it she ran fine but then parked it up in me drive for a couple of weeks and done a few bits like you do,put her back on the road and if you try and drive it hard the boost is not constant it comes and go's,i think some people on hear say its like hitting a brick wall, went to work to day and gave it some in 5th on the motorway and seemed ok any ideas....?

Many thanks Karl.
