MAF sensor
#1
Sorry if this has been done to death but the search ain't working. My car seems to be hesitating and holding back quite a bit (MY99 + ITG + Scoobysport box + Dawes) and i wondering if cleaning the MAF sensor would help.......next question...where is it, is it attached to the airbox?

Manny,
Your MAF sensor is the first thing you come to after your airbox (or induction kit). It has a quick release wiring harness and you also need a tamper proof bit (the ones with the holes). I removed mine on my MY99 STI Type-R and the sensor was immaculate, so unless you suspect that it is contaminated it will probably be quite clean. Hope this helps.
Craig.
