Don't suppose you could describe your problem a little clearer, also tell us what car you have?

Sure its a impreza turbo 1999 model, what happens is I approach the vehicle, I push the button I hear the clunk as it unlocks, then clunk as it locks again ? sometimes it will do it a few times untill it stays unlocked is this a common fault, is there a simple cure ?
thanks

Try the key in the door lock, what happens then? Is it a single button on the alarm fob?

Could it be a faulty locking motor not latching/unlatching properly?

Or it could be the slave solenoid for the alarm needs a little adjustment, the alarm isnt normally wired into the central locking it controls another solenoid that operates the original lock.

Does the central locking operate normally using the key in the door? Surely it's better to diagnose the fault rather than jumping into adjusting this n that without knowing?!
