Can I reprogram a Sigma Remote ?

Question Can I reprogram a Sigma Remote ?

ive got one remote fob, wanted a spare, can buy off flebay for around 18 quid, but can i reprogram it easily to my car/keyfob, i have a 1999 classic , also can i have a spare key cut at a locksmiths, or do these keys have built immobiliser chips

hi yes you can have reprogramme the remote, but at the same time you will have to reprogramme your other remote so they are paired up, as for the key most decent key cutters will have the facility to copy the key and code a new one up, i had one done a couple of weeks back which cost me £45.

But was it for a 1999 onwards? 99 onwards have the a rolling code transponder, so the key needs to be programmed to the car.

i had one done the other day for a 03sti and it is and does work fine, the best thing for the op to do is go along to a decent key cutter and see if it can be done.
